Fall Semester 2022 Academic Calendar
Registration for the Fall Semester 2022 begins March 7, 2022.
August 10 – Payment due for Fall 2022 tuition and fees.
August 11 – Registered students with unpaid tuition balances or who have not made payment arrangements will be dropped from fall classes.
August 16 – Release of available financial assistance begins.
August 22 – Classes begin
Final day for undergraduates to complete and submit Application for Degree Completion in Workday
September 4 – Final day for 100% refund for full semester or arranged courses.

Final day to add or register in a full semester course with instructor permission.

Fees for courses withdrawn do not apply to courses added after this date.
September 5 – Labor Day Holiday – University closed
Final day for Masters, Doctorate and Education Specialists to complete and submit Application for Degree Completion in Workday
September 6 – Classes resume.
September 19 – Final day for 50% refund for full semester or arranged courses.

20th day of classes
Final day to withdraw a course without transcript record.
September 20 – Transcript record begins
COURSES ARE PERMITTED TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM SEPTEMBER 20 THROUGH OCTOBER 30 (SEE WITHDRAWAL POLICY STATEMENT). A grade of “W” will be recorded.
September 24 – Fall Family Day (Current Students)
October 3 – Final day for graduate students to sign up for comprehensive examinations
October 7 – Oktoberfest
Classes held through 12:20 pm (The end of classes which begin at 11:30 am)
October 8 -Oktoberfest and Homecoming
October 10 – Registration for Intersession 2024, Graduates and Seniors–OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS (On-Campus and Online)
Registration for Spring 2024, Graduates and Seniors–MUST BE ADMITTED, FHSU ONLINE STUDENTS SEEKING TO REGISTER IN ONLINE CLASSES ONLY
October 12 – Registration for Intersession 2024, Juniors–OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS (On-Campus and Online)
October 14 – Interim
October 17 – Interim grade entry deadline, NOON
Last 8-week courses begin

Registration for Spring 2024, Juniors–MUST BE ADMITTED, DEGREE SEEKING FHSU ONLINE STUDENTS SEEKING TO ENROLL IN ONLINE CLASSES ONLY
October 19 – Registration for Intersession 2024, Freshmen–OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS (On-Campus and Online)
October 24 – Registration for Spring 2024, Sophomores–MUST BE ADMITTED FHSU ONLINE STUDENTS SEEKING TO REGISTER IN ONLINE CLASSES ONLY
October 30 – Final day to withdraw from a course with transcript record of “W.” NO WITHDRAWALS ALLOWED AFTER THIS DATE.
October 31 – Registration for Spring 2024, Freshmen–MUST BE ADMITTED FHSU ONLINE STUDENTS SEEKING TO REGISTER IN ONLINE CLASSES ONLY
November 5 – Tiger Day (Senior and Junior in High School)
November 7 – Final day for graduate students to submit Master’s Thesis or Specialist’s Field Study introductory pages for format review.
Registration for Spring 2024, Graduates and Seniors–OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS (On-Campus and Online)
November 14 – Registration for Spring 2024, Juniors–OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS (On-Campus and Online)
November 21 – 25 – Fall Break (University closed Nov. 24-25)
November 28 – Classes resume
Final day for departments to submit comprehensive exams results to the Graduate School.
Final day for graduate students to submit approved Master’s Thesis or Specialist’s Field Study Oral Examination Report due from departments to Graduate School.
Registration for Spring 2024, Sophomores–OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS (On-Campus and Online)
December 5 – Registration for Spring 2024, Freshmen–OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS (On-Campus and Online)
December 10, 12-16 – Final examinations
December 16 – Semester ends
