  • Check if you need a visa

  • Submit the application

Go to the Chinese embassy, consulate, or Chinese Visa Application Center (CVASC) that serves your habitation area. You can either show up in person or you can ask an agent to do this for you. In some consular offices and CVASCs, mail services are available.

The usual processing time is four working days together with the day you submit the application and the day you collect the visa. Recall there may be extra non-working days for Chinese public holidays. By paying an extra fee you can have your application processed faster.   • When to apply for a Chinese visa

The best time for anyone to apply for a Chinese visa is one or two months before your date of departure. normally, a Chinese visa is only valid for three months from the date of issue, which means that the earliest time for you to apply is three months before your departure

  • Renew and extend China visa

You cannot renew and extend a Chinese visa once you are granted, meanwhile it can be done once you are in China at the local Exit and Entry Administration under the Public Security Bureau.
