The IMF Youth Fellowship Program (YFP) is actively seeking young fellows who are eager to contribute to the IMF’s ongoing efforts in fostering resilient and inclusive growth, with a special focus on the youth demographic.
As part of this esteemed program, the chosen youth fellows will have the privilege of participating in immersive, face-to-face workshops conducted by esteemed figures such as IMF management, senior staff members, and external experts. These workshops will offer invaluable insights into the workings of the IMF and its strategies for addressing global economic challenges.
Furthermore, the selected candidates will have numerous opportunities to engage with scholars, activists, leaders, and experts, thereby facilitating the establishment of enduring connections and collaborations with fellow youth fellows from diverse corners of the world.
Through the IMF Youth Fellowship 2024 program, young individuals from every corner of the globe have a unique chance to actively join the IMF in leading the response to pressing global economic challenges.

Applications can be submitted in Arabic, English or French.
Application Criteria:
A successful applicant should
- Be between the ages of 20 and 35 years as of October 15, 2024
- Have demonstrated experience in one or more of the following:
- Social activism and/or engaging with a civil society organization
- Entrepreneurship and/or participating in a start-up
- Content creation/influencer and/or contributing to independent platforms
- Have knowledge and expertise in international studies, basic economics, and development issues, particularly on inclusive economic growth, the digital economy, or climate change
- Have graduated from or currently be a student in the field of international relations and development, communications, economics, or related fields
- Demonstrate good public speaking and presentation skills
- Be a citizen of an IMF member country
- Have no current affiliation with government institutions
- Not have previously been a fellow of the YFP.
