Josephus Foundation Scholarship 2020: First Technical University invites application for Josephus Foundation Scholarship from all the recently admitted undergraduate and the very direct entry students and from any students being considered for provisional admission into First Technical University, Ibadan in the 2020 admission cycle, this is irrespective of nationality, state of origin, tribe, sex, religion, or social status of this nation.

Note that this scholarship is initiated by the First Technical University, Ibadan.

The Josephus Foundation Scholarship is a most highly competitive scholarship endowed by the Josephus Foundation, in courtesy of the current University Chancellor, Chief (Dr.) Tunde Afolabi, MFR. It is a part of the institution’s support services to exceptionally brilliant but indigent students who otherwise might not be capable to afford the University tertiary education and other charges and payments as well.. 

This scholarship is a partial scholarship that also covers both the tuition and accommodation fees only, while the beneficiaries will be responsible for a one-time payment of other municipal and service charges as being enumerated in the schedule of fees for the undergraduate students which is also available on the University official website – Tech-U Ibadan School Fees Schedule. 

First Technical University, Ibadan Scholarship will be offered based on an annual basis to the newly admitted (UTME, JUPEB and direct entry) students, subject to a satisfactory performance, for the duration of a beneficiary’s programme of study of their choice.


Eligibility for the Josephus Foundation Scholarship 

Applicants for the scholarship must, therefore, satisfy the following criteria as well

The candidate must have accepted admission or under consideration for any admission to any of the degree programs at the First Technical University, Ibadan in the on-going 2021/2022 admission cycle 

Must have passed at only one sitting ordinary level English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Biology/Agricultural Science/Geography at least at a credit level. In addition, the Direct Entry students must also have at least Credit at an advanced level in any 3 significant science subjects that were studied.

The candidate must perform satisfactorily in the University Scholarship Screening Examination.

The candidate must maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 3.50 to qualify for an annual renewal of the scholarship to be given.
