What is the Nigerian Navy

The Nigeria Navy is a division of the Nigerian Armed Forces. This force is one of the biggest forces in the African Continent

The Nigerian Navy was created from the Nigerian marine

Their function then was primarily  to be in charge of the ports and harbors, channel dredging, lighting and voyage of the country. The Nigerian Naval Force was later changed and permitted to function as a naval force.

FUNCTIONS OF THE NIGERIAN NAVY:

  3. Military Responsibility

 

Qualifications for application:

1). All Prospective Applicants should possess any of the following educational qualifications:

  • The West African School Certificate/Senior Secondary School Certificate.
  • General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level.
  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND).

2).  Prospective applicants must upload their first school leaving certificate.

3).  Prospective applicants are to note that entry requirement into the following categories is SSCE or equivalent: A1, A2A3, A4, A5, B1, B1, C2, C4,C5, C6, D1, D2, D3, D4, E1, F, G. Any other additional qualifications in these categories can only serve as an added advantage for selection into the branch and not for advancement.

4). Applicant possessing higher educational/professional qualification, i.e. HND, BA/BSc, etc other than those stated in Paragraph 1 (a-g) should not apply.

Applicants are therefore warned that it is an action to declare false educational /professional qualifications. This attracts withdrawal or dismissal and prosecution.

5). Any certificate not declared or tendered and accepted during the recruitment exercise is not acceptable after recruitment and cannot be tendered for the purpose of change of branch or advancement while in the Naval service. Only qualifications obtained through proper service provisions are tenable after joining.

6).prospective  applicants must be between the ages of 18 – 22 years at the time of entry into the Training School for school certificate holders, while 24 years of age is the acceptable limit for those with higher qualifications e.g. Nurses, NCE Holders, ICT Professionals, etc.

7). Applicants must not be married or have children before joining.

8). An applicant is required to print out a Parent /Guardian Consent Form and Local Government Attestation Form.

9). Applicants must be of Nigerian origin by birth.

10). Applicants with any of the following problems are NOT to apply: short sight, ear problem, previous orthopedic operation, flat foot, below the required height (Male 1.70, Female 1.67), fracture, stammering, or any natural disability.

11). Applicants must be free from any previous conviction by a court of law on criminal charges.

  1. Click on the Register button to create an account on this portal by providing a valid Email Address and Password
  2. Complete the Rating Application form. You can save your application. You may log in at any time before the application closes to make changes to your saved application.

Make sure you check your data carefully before submitting it.

NB: CORRECTIONS ARE NOT ALLOW AFTER SUBMISION

 3.  print a copy of your completed Application form which must include the following details:

  1. Applicant’s Declaration and Certification by Parent/Guardian form.
  2. certificate of origin.
  3. Police Certification Form.
  4. Guarantor Form
