Rivers State University Sandwich Postgraduate Programmes Duration

1. Post Graduate Programme (PGD)

• The PGD program in the Institute of Education shall run for a minimum of one Sandwich year

1. Master of Science (MSc)

• Mater’s program in the Institute of Education shall run for a minimum of two (2) Sandwich years.

1. Doctor of Philosophy

• A Ph.D. program in the Institute of Education shall run for a minimum of three (3). Sandwich years.

RSU Sandwich Postgraduate Admission Requirements

1. PGDE/PGDTE earned from Rivers State University or any other recognized institution of higher learning of equivalent rank, or a degree in the Institute of Education with a minimum of Second in the relevant subject of study.
2. Candidates for the Postgraduate Diploma in Institute of Education must have a first degree from a recognized institution/university with a minimum grade of the third.
3. Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of lower credit or its equivalent in any subject discipline or its equivalent in any technical subject/disciple (for PGDTE only) given by any recognized institution.

4. Candidates for the Institute of Education’s Doctor of Philosophy Degree must have a Masters’s Degree in a relevant field of study from Rivers State University or an equivalent accredited institution of higher learning.

The application form is N20,000.00. visit the University’s Website www.ust.edu.ng or www.rsu.edu.ng and make an e- payment by generating a transaction ID for the fee and proceed to any designated Bank to make payment using the Pay Direct option or with an inter-switch enabled Verve Card.

Application forms should be completed online, then downloaded and submitted to the Postgraduate School’s Secretary, together with photocopies of appropriate credentials.

The deadline for the application is midnight on April 29, 2022.
