Harmattan Semester has been approved on an executive basis by the Acting Provost, but it needs to be approved by the Academic Board.
The following are the important dates for the Harmattan Semester in 2022 and 2024:
- 14 March, 2024: Screening begins for fresh Students
- 19 March, 2024: Returning Students come into Residence
- 20 March, 2024:
Screening continues for fresh students
Registration begins for all Students.
Lecture begins for Degree III & IV - 27th March 2024: Orientation begins for fresh Students
- 31 March, 2024: Orientation ends for fresh Students
- 14 April 2024: Registration ends for all Students
- 17 April 2024: Registration with penalty begins for all Students
- 24 April 2024: Orientation for Teaching practice begins for Degree III, IV & NCE III Students
- 28 April 2024: Teaching practice orientation ends for Degree III, IV & NCE III
- 30 April, 2024: Registration with penalty ends for all Students
- 1 May, 2024:
Public Holiday
Registration with extra penalty begins for all Students - 2nd May 2024: Teaching practice begins for NCE III, Degree III & IV Students
- 12 May, 2024: Registration with extra penalty ends for all Students
- 9th June 2024: Teaching practice ends for Degree III & IV
- 12 June 2024: Lecture resume for Degree III & IV
- 16 June,2024: Students Lecture ends for Degree I, II and NCE 1&11
- 19 June,2024: Examination begins for Degree & II and NCE I & II
- 7 July 2024: Examination ends for Degree I, II and NCE I & II
- 21 July 2024: Teaching practice ends for NCE III
- 28 July 2024: Lecture ends for Degree III & IV
- 31 July 2024: Examination begins for Degree III & IV
- 11 August 2024:
Examination ends for Degree III & IV
End of 2024/2025 Harmattan Semester - 14 August 2024: Inter Semester break begins
