Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences offers Willie I, Wanda and W.F. Martin Scholarship for students with a permanent address in either Taylor, Callahan, Coleman, Jones, Nolan or Runnels counties. This is a scholarship by Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

Eligibility

  • Awarded to students with a permanent address in either Taylor, Callahan, Coleman, Jones, Nolan or Runnels counties
  • Not based on academic achievement
  • $1,000 awarded annually (contingent upon funding).

Willie I, Wanda and W.F. Martin Scholarship

Academic Achievement Scholarship for Texas Residents with Financial Need

  • Must have completed a FAFSA or TASFA proving need
  • Must have GPA of 3.0 for incoming or cumulative pharmacy GPA of 80 or better
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • $2,000 awarded annually (contingent upon funding)

Academic Achievement Scholarships for non-residents of Texas with Financial Need

  • Must have completed a FAFSA or TASFA proving need
  • Must have GPA of 3.0 for incoming or cumulative pharmacy GPA of 80 or better
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Annual award varies (contingent upon funding)

Awarding Process:

  • Must have completed a FAFSA or TASFA
  • Scholarship application is opened annually in the spring and scholarships are awarded in late summer for the upcoming academic year. Once the application is closed, award decisions will be made from the applications received
  • Incoming students will be considered for scholarships based on their cumulative undergraduate GPA; a minimum of 3.0 is required
  • Current students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 80
  • Scholarship eligibility does not guarantee receipt of scholarship
  • Under current state law, non-Texas residents may be eligible to pay the Texas resident tuition rate for the academic terms that the scholarship is awarded, as long as there are no amendments to the state law and TTUHSC has not exceeded their state allotment of competitive waivers per term.
